Chase Weahke, a Zuni fetish carver, is the nephew of Lena Boone and the grandson of Chester Weahkee. He is now creating large glass fetishes with techniques he learned from Lena. Lena Boone is the first carver to use glass for her fetishes. It is difficult to find large colorful pieces that are left from mining operations, for Chase to then sand and carve into shapes.
